For anyone who loves experimenting with their hairstyle, finding the right place that truly understands your vision can be a challenge. From classic cuts to bold changes, the hair salon you choose can make all the difference. Enter Studio Studios, a unique salon in the heart of East London, led by hairstylist Jadah Dale. Known for her ability to transform hair into art, Jadah caters to London’s trendsetters, offering a space where creativity and personal connection are at the forefront.
A Fresh Approach to Hair
Jadah Dale has built a reputation for offering a fresh and personalized approach to hairstyling. Having worked in some of London’s most popular salons, she realized the need for a space that was not only creative but also more intimate. “I wanted to create a space where I could truly connect with my clients on a deeper level,” Jadah explains. “A place where they feel valued, cared for, and—most importantly—gorgeous.”
Studio Studios, founded by Jadah, has quickly become the go-to salon for many of London’s “it” crowd. The space is unpretentious but undeniably cool, with cult films playing in the background and a relaxed atmosphere that attracts both the city’s fashion-forward crowd and those seeking a more personal salon experience.
Why East London?
Originally from a quiet island off Canada’s west coast, Jadah found herself drawn to East London’s vibrant, eclectic mix of culture. “East London has this amazing blend of Queer culture, creativity, and a chic, fashion-forward vibe,” she says. “It felt like the perfect location for the studio.”
Since opening, Studio Studios has become a space that blends artistry with a sense of community. “It’s a place where people come together, relax, and chat about everything and anything,” Jadah says. “It’s about creating connections, and that’s what makes this salon special.”
Hair That Sets Trends
Studio Studios is known for staying ahead of the curve when it comes to hairstyle trends. Whether it’s the bold black dip-dye that made waves on “it” girl Susie Lola or the effortless, natural honey blondes, Jadah’s signature cuts and colours are constantly evolving.
“Our clients bring amazing ideas and references,” she explains. “It’s a collaborative process. I specialize in colour treatments, but it’s really about what makes the client feel good and what brings them joy.”
Jadah’s ability to blend culture and style is evident in her work, often drawing inspiration from music, film, and modern culture. “The impact of culture on style is something we talk about a lot in the studio,” she adds. “Our clients are incredibly creative and smart. We inspire each other.”
Creating a Home, Not Just a Salon
Studio Studios stands apart from traditional salons, creating a space that feels more like a home than a commercial space. “I wanted the studio to feel like a living room,” Jadah explains. “Somewhere you can read, work, laugh, or even cry—though that’s not usually hair-related!”
The space is designed to be warm and welcoming, with a carefully curated vibe that shifts with the seasons. “In the winter, it’s cozy and comforting with candles and music. In the summer, it’s bright and fresh with the doors open to the courtyard,” Jadah says. “It’s about creating a space where clients leave feeling refreshed—not just because of their new hair, but on a deeper, more personal level.”
Celebrity Clients and Signature Looks
Jadah has worked with a long list of celebrity clients, including Iris Law, Maisie Williams, and Arlo Parks. Her work for events and shoots offers a change of pace but, as she points out, often stems from the relationships built in the salon. “I love working with celebrity clients because it’s a change of pace, but the most rewarding part is the collaboration we have when we create their signature look.”
Earlier this year, Jadah curated Holly Humberstone’s signature look for her appearance on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. “Holly came to the studio wanting something relaxed yet striking,” Jadah recalls. “We gave her a shaggy face frame and a curtain fringe to enhance her natural texture. On the day of the show, we refined the shape and added textured waves to create an ethereal, effortless look.”
Building Trust and Connection
For Jadah, the relationship between stylist and client is crucial. “I make it a point to listen to my clients, understand their needs, and get to know their personality,” she says. “Hair can play a big role in building and affirming your identity. It’s about creating a look that reflects who you are.”
What Does “Cool Girl” Hair Mean?
The phrase “cool girl hair” has been circulating the beauty world, and for Jadah, it’s not just a trend—it’s an ethos. “Cool girl hair is about being unapologetic and drawing inspiration from both contemporary culture and interesting references from the past,” she explains. “It’s about creating a look that feels familiar yet fresh, never stale.”
Looking to the Future
Studio Studios is still in its early days, but it’s already making waves. “We’re constantly growing and evolving to meet demand,” Jadah says with a smile. “But for now, our lips are sealed on what’s next. You’ll just have to come in and get your hair done to find out.”
Studio Studios is more than just a place to get your hair done; it’s a creative space, a community hub, and a reflection of London’s coolest clientele.
