Bryan Johnson, a 46-year-old tech millionaire and anti-aging research pioneer, recently showcased his remarkable transformation on social media. He revealed how he successfully reversed male pattern baldness and restored the natural color of his hair in under a year. In a detailed thread on X, Johnson outlined his extensive regimen for preventing hair loss and achieving healthy hair.
Despite expectations that he would be bald by now, Johnson attributes his transformation to a combination of nutritional, topical, and light treatments. He emphasized the importance of taking proactive steps to preserve hair, stating that it is possible for men to maintain a full head of hair “well into your 40s and beyond.”
“Genetically, I should be bald. I started to lose my hair and go gray in my late 20s. Now, at 47, I’ve got a full head of hair and about 70% of my gray is gone. Here’s how I did it,” he wrote on X. In subsequent tweets, Johnson explained that his hair regeneration success comes from a multi-faceted approach. Central to his transformation are vitamins and nutrients, especially protein and Omega-3 fatty acids, which he believes have been crucial in restoring his hair.
In addition to nutrition, Johnson developed a personalized topical formula designed for his genetics, containing melatonin, caffeine, and Vitamin D3. He also incorporated red light therapy into his daily routine, wearing a specialized hat to administer this treatment throughout the day.
A significant part of Johnson’s regimen includes oral minoxidil, a topical hair-loss drug. He cautioned that it should only be used at low doses due to potential side effects, such as excessive hair growth and headaches.
“I’m in touch with several companies developing new hair regrowth therapies. They show promise and are exciting, though they’re still years away. It’s cool to think that hair loss may soon be a thing of the past,” he concluded in his post.
Notably, Johnson invests $2 million annually in medical diagnostics and treatments, alongside a carefully crafted regimen of diet, sleep, and exercise, all aimed at slowing and possibly reversing the aging process. Recently, he disclosed that he underwent a “total plasma” exchange, a radical procedure designed to eliminate toxins from his body.
Johnson gained his wealth in his 30s when he sold his payment processing company, Braintree Payment Solutions, to eBay for $800 million in cash. He is currently estimated to have a net worth of $400 million.
