Zendaya Unveils Ultra-Long Cher-inspired Hair on the Red Carpet

by Barbara

Zendaya was among the stars who attended the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this weekend to celebrate the class of 2024, which included the legendary Cher.

The Euphoria actress had the honor of introducing the music icon on stage at the event. Known for her ever-evolving style, Zendaya paid tribute to Cher with a vintage Bob Mackie dress, but it was her hair and makeup that took the homage to the next level.

Recently seen with a short, buttery blonde bob, Zendaya transformed her look on Saturday evening. She took inspiration from Cher’s signature style by wearing sleek, jet-black hair that extended to her hips. Hairstylist Coree Moreno created the dramatic, poker-straight look, complete with a sharp middle part and a glossy finish that mirrored Cher’s iconic hairstyle from the 1970s. During that era, Cher often wore her long hair with accessories and updos.

For makeup, artist Raoul Alejandre chose soft terracotta-brown tones, a classic color palette from the seventies. A hint of sparkle on her eyes complemented her shimmering gold outfit, while sun-kissed cheeks and a glossy lip added to the bohemian glamour of the era. The makeup look closely resembled one of Cher’s past beauty styles.

Zendaya is no stranger to bold beauty transformations. From wearing a bouquet of roses on her head at the Met Gala to sporting a 1950s party bob, the actress has consistently embraced dramatic changes in both hair and makeup.

With this latest tribute to Cher, the 28-year-old star seems a natural fit for any future Cher biopic. Casting directors should take note.
