Laura Denny, a stylist at Alida K, has been nominated for the wedding hair stylist category at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.
Regional winners will be revealed in November, while the national finals are set for January 2025. Winners are determined by client feedback and an expert judging panel.
Denny has had a productive year, launching a new podcast and getting her work featured in various online blogs and magazines. She has styled 32 weddings this year and has 12 more scheduled before 2024 ends.
Denny expressed her thoughts on entering the awards: “I am very critical of my own work. For me, entering was more about challenging myself than thinking I would win.
“Becoming a finalist surprised and thrilled me. I’m honored to compete with six other talented stylists and I look forward to meeting everyone at the awards night in November.
“Winning the regional award would be a significant personal achievement, and I would be very proud. Regardless of the outcome, I am grateful to be shortlisted and thankful for my clients’ trust and support. I look forward to creating beautiful hairstyles for many years to come.”
Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said, “Since 2011, we have focused on recognizing excellence in the wedding industry. This year’s Regional Finalists are outstanding.
“Our awards are unique because they are voted on by recent wedding couples. It’s not just about the total number of votes. We prioritize the quality of feedback from eligible couples. This allows both larger companies and talented individuals to compete fairly, ensuring that the best suppliers shine.”
