PUEBLO — Residents can enhance their hairstyles while supporting two important causes in Pueblo. The Cosmetology Department at Pueblo Community College (PCC) is offering purple and pink hair extensions for just $5 each.
Proceeds from the sales will benefit organizations focused on breast cancer and domestic violence awareness.
Pamela Graham, a breast cancer survivor, expressed the positive impact of the initiative. “It makes the kids feel good to give back. When someone sits down and says, ‘My mom had breast cancer, and I want to get a pink extension for her,’ or, ‘I’m a survivor of domestic violence. I want to get a purple extension or purple nails,’ it really matters,” she said.
The hair extensions are available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, until the end of October at the PCC Cosmetology Department.
For those who prefer not to buy extensions, the department is also accepting donations to support these worthy causes.
