Gina Kirschenheiter, known for her role on The Real Housewives of Orange County, has shared her thoughts on her son Nicholas’s latest hairstyle. On September 24, she posted on Instagram, asking fellow moms, “How do we feel about this?” The post featured Gina sitting in a car, and she noted that her preteen son was experimenting with a new look. She wondered if other mothers were also facing similar trends with their children.
In the accompanying video, Gina expressed her surprise at Nicholas’s style. “I can’t stop thinking about this,” she said. “He comes down for school, and he spent a lot of time upstairs doing his hair because he’s obsessed with it lately. But when he comes down, I’m like, ‘Nicholas, did you brush your hair?’ He replies, ‘Yeah, Mom, I don’t brush my hair.’”
Gina continued, questioning why Nicholas had taken so long to do his hair if he didn’t plan to brush it. “I said, ‘Well then, what were you doing up there for 20 minutes?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I was doing my hair.’ I asked, ‘Is this how you want it to look?’ and in his mind, he nailed it.” Eventually, Gina admitted she stopped trying to understand her son’s choices. “Go with God, my child,” she joked. “I mean, I got nothing left to say at this point!”

Gina has also undergone various hair transformations over the years. Her styles have ranged from long, sandy tresses to a darker brunette and now her bright blonde bob. In a March 2019 throwback post, she showcased her long dark hair from her college graduation at Hofstra University.
Reflecting on her hair journey in a 2022 interview with The Daily Dish, Gina discussed the beauty challenges she faced. “My hair being such a disaster the last few years was very indicative of where I was in my life,” she shared, referencing personal struggles, including her 2019 divorce.
Since then, Gina noted a positive change, receiving numerous requests from fans for a tutorial on her pearl-embellished look from Season 16. “I feel great about it,” she told The Daily Dish. “I see everything that people write.”
