JW Shinyak Joins Global P4 Trial for Hair Care Cosmetics

by Barbara

JW Shinyak announced on Friday its participation in a global Phase 4 clinical trial for DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT, a hair care cosmetic product developed by the French pharmaceutical company Pierre Fabre. The trial aims to evaluate the product’s effectiveness and safety.

DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT, a general hair care product, has been exclusively supplied to JW Shinyak for the domestic market since January, following the signing of a contract with Pierre Fabre.

The Phase 4 trial, which will run from September 2024 to March 2025, will be conducted in 15 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. JW Shinyak will oversee the trial in South Korea.

In Korea, the study will involve collaboration with three key organizations: the Korean Hair Research Society, the Korean Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the Association of Korean Dermatologists. The trial will be conducted at five major university hospitals and 15 specialized clinics, focusing on patients needing follow-up care for their scalp and hair post-hair loss treatment.

Participants will be selected based on Stage 3 of the Norwood-Hamilton classification, indicating noticeable hair loss progression. Over the six-month study period, JW Shinyak aims to thoroughly assess the product’s impact on scalp health and its overall benefits in treating hair loss caused by various factors.

“This global Phase 4 trial provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of DUCRAY NEOPTIDE EXPERT in hair care,” said a JW Shinyak official. “We are committed to promoting hair care cosmetics as a reliable option for consumers and patients concerned about hair health.”
