Terry Bradshaw, the 76-year-old former NFL quarterback, made his return to Fox NFL Sunday for the season opener, showcasing a new hairstyle after his summer break. The longtime Fox NFL star appeared with longer white hair, complemented by braces and a navy blazer.
Bradshaw’s updated look drew immediate attention from his colleague Howie Long, who mentioned it within the first five minutes of the show. Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts.
One viewer tweeted, “Terry Bradshaw strongly repping the turned-inside-out mullet this morning on Fox NFL Kickoff!” Another asked, “Is Terry Bradshaw wearing hair extensions?!” A third joked, “His hair looks like it did in 1975. Not sure what he’s going for.” Another fan commented, “My NFL Week 1 take is Terry Bradshaw needs a haircut.”
Bradshaw was joined on the show by Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Strahan, and Curt Menefee. Notably absent was Rob Gronkowski. The New England Patriots legend, 35, will contribute to Fox NFL Sunday and Fox NFL Kickoff this season but will not serve as a regular analyst as he did in the past two years.
Gronkowski’s former Patriots teammate, Tom Brady, is set to make his debut as Fox’s lead analyst during tonight’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns. Brady appeared on NFL Sunday in anticipation of his debut and has already received support from Gronkowski.
“I think Tom is going to be excellent,” Gronkowski told Bleacher Report last week. “There’s nothing in the world he’s ever done and bombed. He prepares way too well, and that’s why he was the greatest quarterback of all time. He knows how to prepare. He’s going to take his time like it’s game day and he’s playing in the game. I’ve seen him study and get ready for games every Sunday. If that’s the approach he’s going to take, he’s going to be great.”
