CARY, N.C. — A Cary-based salon raised more than $12,000 to support a 7-year-old cancer patient through a fundraising event.
Twisted Scizzors Salon hosted its annual Cut-a-thon on Sunday, offering free haircuts to customers who donated $20 or more. All proceeds, including tips, are being donated to Noelle Franklin, a young girl currently fighting a brain tumor.
According to event organizers, this year’s fundraiser was the most successful in the 13 years of holding the event, with the highest amount of money raised and the most haircuts performed.
