Dolly Parton is set to launch her new makeup line, Dolly Beauty, which will debut with the Heaven’s Kiss lipstick collection. Each lipstick in the collection is named after one of Parton’s popular songs.
The 78-year-old country icon hinted at the upcoming launch in an Instagram post on August 13. The post featured a photo of Parton in a makeup chair holding a lipstick tube. Her caption read, “I feel glamorous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside … something is coming @dollybeauty.”
In a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Parton emphasized the importance of inclusivity in her new line. “I like to name my products after songs,” she explained. “It’s important to offer a variety of colors that people who wear makeup can enjoy.”
Parton shared that her long-standing desire for beauty inspired her to create Dolly Beauty. “I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned,” she said. “I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life, like most girls, especially country girls with dreams of glamour. I started making my own makeup as a kid and have been known for wearing makeup – usually a lot – for years.”
Before launching Dolly Beauty, Parton introduced a fragrance line called Scent From Above in 2021. She noted that the success of her perfume encouraged her to expand into makeup. “I’ve always wanted my own wig line, but makeup seemed like the next logical step,” Parton said. “In the future, we may explore other beauty products, including hair care. New dreams come every day.”
Dolly Beauty is set to launch on August 22 and will be available on the brand’s website.
