Keke Palmer’s Vibrant Hair Accessories Bring a Nostalgic Twist to Her Big Boss Tour

by Barbara

Keke Palmer kicked off her highly-anticipated Big Boss tour with a bang in Oakland, California on September 10, and she’s already captivating us with her unique tour looks. As she graced the stage for her Los Angeles performance on September 11, the multi-talented artist drew inspiration from the late 90s and early 2000s, creating a hairstyle that took us down memory lane, evoking a sense of childhood nostalgia.

The credit for this stunning look goes to hairstylist Keshaun Williamson, also known as the Lace Assassin, who skillfully installed and styled a kinky-straight hair unit for Keke Palmer. He shared snapshots of this remarkable look on Instagram on September 13, allowing fans to revel in its beauty. Palmer’s onstage presence was nothing short of enchanting as she sported a twisted half-up hairstyle adorned with colorful butterfly clips, a choice that transported many of us back to the Y2K era.

For her performance, Keke Palmer donned a denim jumpsuit complemented by a silver corset, a dazzling ensemble that she proudly displayed on her Instagram page. Her kinky-straight locks cascaded gracefully down her back, resembling a luxurious mane that added to her overall charisma.

Williamson employed Bold Hold’s Liquid Gold adhesive to ensure that Palmer’s textured hair unit remained securely in place throughout her electrifying performance. He meticulously divided her hair at the front, allowing a portion of hair to frame her face near her ears. Subsequently, he divided this section into eight individual segments, twisting each one up to Palmer’s crown. To complete the enchanting look, colorful butterfly clips were used to secure each twisted section, accentuating the Y2K influence. Additionally, two delicate face-framing strands of hair were left untwisted, enhancing the overall allure.

To complement the vibrant hair accessories, makeup artist Kevin Luong employed a rainbow of pigments to create a captivating gradient effect on Palmer’s eyes. One eye showcased an array of orange, red, and yellow hues, while the other eye featured an enchanting blend of green, blue, and purple shades. The sight of Keke Palmer’s hair and makeup alone is enough to transport anyone back to an era of slap bracelets and carefree fun. This is just the beginning of her tour, promising an array of diverse looks that will undoubtedly continue to inspire beauty enthusiasts across the board.
