On September 3, the couple, engaged since February 2022, exchanged vows at the historic 22-acre estate of La Fortaleza in Mallorca, Spain, dating back to the 1600s. The ceremony unfolded with a picturesque view of the estate’s lower-terrace swimming pool. King, at the age of 24, graced the occasion in a graceful Oscar de la Renta ballgown adorned with a sweetheart neckline and floral-inspired textures.
In the lead-up to this momentous day, King collaborated with her longtime hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, who has been by her side for over nine years, from her teenage years at 15. Giannetos, renowned for his celebrity clientele, which includes Megan Fox, Camila Cabello, Kourtney Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Priyanka Chopra, and Gal Gadot, played a pivotal role in crafting King’s wedding look.
Giannetos shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his joy for King’s marriage, describing her as his “little sister.” He accompanied the post with an image showcasing King’s wedding hairstyle.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Giannetos revealed that he meticulously curated two distinct looks for King’s wedding day: one for the ceremony and another for the reception. “During the ceremony, her hair flowed down softly and wavy over her shoulders, while at the reception, we elegantly gathered some of the hair, leaving a few strands framing her face,” he explained.
The guiding inspiration for Joey’s wedding appearance was to exude elegance, romance, and timelessness. Giannetos emphasized the importance of highlighting King’s natural beauty while not overshadowing the exquisite Oscar de la Renta wedding gown. In their creative process, they consciously steered clear of fleeting trends.
