Getting Rosie Ready for Feeding Time
“Lilo never left Rosie’s side for hours,” she explained to ABC News. Together, the two instantly shared a special bond. Lilo cuddled up with Rosie, and as the minutes went by, it was clear that Rosie felt even more secure and out of harm’s way.
Before Thoa knew it, it looked like Rosie was finally ready for feeding time, too! Looking for food, the little kitty tried sucking on Lilo to get some milk and nourishment, as if she was Rosie’s mother.
Snuggled Up During Dinner Time
“She cuddled her and comforted her until she was better and ready to finally drink from a bottle,” Thoa revealed to ABC News.
But Rosie wasn’t the only one who decided to cuddle up while eating dinner that night. Rosie felt secure with Lilo, and it was clear that Lilo felt the same with Rosie. Lilo laid by Rosie’s side for hours, and didn’t even get up to eat that night!
Thoa had to actually bring Lilo’s food to her while she snuggled up with the sweet stray. And as adorable as that was, Thoa would’ve never expected what was going to happen next between the two cuddly creatures.
Nature vs. Nurture
Thoa stated that Lilo was never and could never be a mother – at least not naturally. But when it comes down to nurturing like a mother, it seems like her maternal instincts are incredibly strong!
During their first cuddle session, once Rosie finally felt safe from Lilo’s welcoming warmth and comfort, she started crying for some milk. “I think she knew that Rosie needed her,” Thoa said during an interview Buzzfeed. It looks like they both filled up a missing spot in each other’s heart.
