Why Your Cat Arches Its Back
It’s pretty amazing how flexible cats are, and it’s even more noticeable when they arch their backs. But, why do they arch them?
Cats love stretching and it’s how they stay nimble and keep their joints and muscles strong because they’re predators. Cats also stretch their back when they’re defensive to look fiercer and bigger to an attacker and when they’re playing around. to tell that your cat is arching its back for play and not aggression is by its body language. Its fur won’t be standing up and it will probably be hopping around playfully instead of growing and hissing.

Most cat owners have heard the word “zoomies”, but do you know what it means? Zoomies are sudden bursts of energy that include running and jumping around the house at high speeds as well as animated-play fighting with other pets. This behavior is Instinctual and it can relate to sleep habits, hunting instincts, and bathroom issues.
Cats often get the zoomies after a long sleep and when they’re awake, they’re really awake. Additionally, you may notice your cat gets the zoomies after they’ve finished using the litter box.
When Cats Dive Off Your Furniture
Like bouncing off the walls, one of the ways cats show they’re excited is by jumping up and down on the furniture. And while it can be annoying having your cat jump up on counters, bookshelves, and refrigerators, it’s part of the way they play.
Cats are meant to jump and climb because, in the wild, climbing trees and leaping long distances to move around helps them avoid danger and find food. So, in your home, your cat will seek high spaces to live out these instincts.
