Anna Shaffer – Now
Shaffer’s Harry Potter plot-line sounds like something straight out of a soap opera, so it doesn’t come as a surprise she starred in one later. The young actress became a regular in Hollyoaks and appeared in more than two hundred episodes of this popular TV show since 2011.
Julie Christie as Madam Rosmerta
Even acting legend Julie Christie, who was always picky about her roles, couldn’t say “No” to the Harry Potter gig. Oscar winner played Madam Rosmerta – the landlady of the Three Broomsticks pub in the village of Hogsmeade. She was an attractive woman who knew many secrets thanks to working in one of wizarding world’s most popular meeting places.
Julie Christie – Now
Christie didn’t accept many roles after Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban came out because she felt the need to escape Hollywood’s madding crowd. She swapped the red carpet for a sheep farm in Wales and decided to quit the acting world. However, some opportunities are too good to pass on and she agreed to play the lead in Sarah Polley’s drama Away from Her and received an Oscar nomination for her masterful performance. Most recently, Christie narrated Goya Award-winning film The Bookshop.
