That same year Ronaldo made headlines once again after being photographed kissing Indian model and actress Bipasha Basu. While the photo created a frenzy in Bollywood, Basu told the Hindustan Times that the kiss was taken out of context.
“Yes, it is me in the picture. It was taken at an opportune moment … it looks like a case of irresponsible assumptions.”
She went on to say, “He is a friend now and he has promised me that I will be invited for all his matches.”
And just like that, Ronaldo moved on to his next fling.
Messy Breakup
In true Ronaldo fashion, it wasn’t long before he moved on to his next romance, and of course, it was another model.
Before Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid, he enjoyed a few dates with Spanish model Nereida Gallardo in 2008.
During the relationship, she was all about Ronaldo, wearing a ring with his shirt number and even got a tattoo of his initials on her wrist. The two dated for nine months, but their split was messy and she revealed some secrets from the bedroom.
Even with their bad breakup, Gallardo would later come to his rescue when he was involved in a messy legal battle.
