Alec Baldwin – Glengarry Glen Ross
It feels almost disrespectful to call Alec Baldwin’s performance in Glengarry Glen Ross a cameo. Because it’s such an iconic scene. He shows up and gives his powerful “always be closing” speech, in that typical intense and sort of intimidating Alec Baldwin way, and is then never seen again.
The scene was written by the playwright behind the movie, David Mamet, with Baldwin in mind. It remains a great example of how a talented actor combined with a great script can turn even a few minutes of screen-time into a significant part of the plot.
Hugh Jackman – X-Men: First Class
To most of us, Hugh Jackman just is Wolverine. An X-Men movie without him in it, just feels sad. But, after two decades of playing this beloved character, we’ve had to get used to seeing him less and less. In X-Men: First Class, he just had a brief cameo, but it was a very fitting one.
It happens during a scene when Xavier and Magneto are attempting to recruit him as one of their X-Men and, well, Wolverine replies the way you would imagine him replying to pretty much any question.
