Now that so much of working life happens online, especially since the pandemic, companies expect their employees to power through even the toughest of circumstances and show up on their Zoom calls—even when they’re practically at death’s door.
This person might be poking fun at the extreme stories employers share on LinkedIn, but the sad reality is that there are so many stories like this where the employers aren’t kidding.
Make Reading a Chore
Out of all the social media sites known for being pretentious, we never expected LinkedIn to become the worst of them all. Now it seems like we can’t do anything right—even reading.
Focusing on maximizing productivity in leisurely activities like reading is a surefire way to suck all the fun out of life. What’s wrong with just reading? We’d love to see someone “applying” what they’ve learned from Harry Potter and see how that works out.
