It’s all well and good for traditionally wealthy people to tell those who didn’t grow up with the same privilege that it’s easy to make money and be successful.
Preaching the values of hard work doesn’t quite have the same effect if you’re born into an affluent or successful family already, and it’s mostly because the definition of “working hard” isn’t really the same for both groups. Middle-class people have to recognize the leg-up that they had, just by being born into the family they’re in.

Don’t you just hate it when someone looks completely different in real life from how they did in their online profile? Anyone is capable of setting up a LinkedIn or business profile, and it’s surprisingly easy to pretend to be someone you’re not.
It’s basically the same effect as lying on a dating app. We’re all for celebrating and promoting your credentials, but no amount of hobbies listed in the work experience section covers up who you really are. Being honest always works out better!
