For some players, basketball is a way of life and they never take a break from it. One of them is Napheesa Collier, Minnesota Lynx’s star forward and 2019’s WNBA Rookie of the Year.

When she’s not training or playing for Lynx, Collier provides lessons, tips, and advice to aspiring basketball players through the basketball app Through the Lens. She created this helpful app with her fiancée and skills trainer Alex Bazzell.

Kia Nurse

Another WNBA star who is making sure the future of women’s basketball is bright is Kia Nurse. The two-time WNBA champion has a basketball academy in her native Canada that helps young girls discover their full potential and get the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

Nurse is an excellent role model for young players. She won two NCAA championships with UConn during her college career and is playing on the All-Star level in the WNBA.
