She’s also impressive on the basketball court for New York Liberty. She recently earned her first All-Star nod and she’s just getting started. This is even more amazing, considering she didn’t exactly love basketball when she was younger—she despised the sport!

Satou Sabally

Satou Sabally’s decision to leave college one year early to play in the WNBA is already proving to be a success. She not only managed to be the second overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, but she made her first WNBA All-Star appearance one year later.

Sabally’s basketball skills are only matched by her activism and efforts to help others. She has had a leadership role on the WNBA Social Justice Council since her rookie campaign while also serving as a UNICEF Supporter.
