Back and Forth Banter and Debate
One of the most likeable parts about Iglesias is that he always enjoys a good jest and laugh. But when it’s time to get serious, he knows exactly how to do that, too – which is part of the reason he’s become such a successful and highly-admired artist.
By 2014, the two had been together for over a decade – all while keeping their fan-base confused with curiosity of what was really going on between the two of them. Along with perplexing back and forth banter on both of them admitting that they don’t want to get married, and then admitting that they do, and then reporting that they didn’t, in 2014, Iglesias seemed to clear things up a bit.
Clearing Up the Rumors
Many rumors have built up over the years about Iglesias and Kournikova’s relationship and future together. While Iglesias seems to enjoy having some fun by throwing the media his enigmatic answers on if he marks the “Single” box when filling out documents or not, in an interview with Access Hollywood in 2014, Iglesias revealed, “When you’ve been with someone for quite a while the way that I have, it’s like being married. I know I’m not, but… we’ve been together for 17 years. So, what is the difference?”
Both Kournikova and Iglesias have mentioned that whether they’re getting married or not, they’re both really happy with their relationship, and that’s all that really matters anyway.
