Chris Pratt didn’t find it easy to accept academic responsibilities. He attended a community college for one semester before dropping out, then moved to Hawaii.
Pratt found himself homeless after a short time. Luckily, he was “discovered” soon after when he was waiting tables in Maui.
Actress Rae Dawn Chong was prepping her directorial debut, a horror comedy called Cursed Part III when Pratt was her waiter at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. She gave him his first chance but the film never saw light of day.
Down to Earth Guy
In 2002 Pratt landed the role of Bright Abbott in Everwood.
Pratt was becoming more and more popular, but a big part of why people liked him was his down to earth persona. Pratt didn’t act like a star at all; he still hung with his friends from home, goofed around and didn’t stick his nose up at anyone.
Sure, he was getting more and more respect as an actor, but no one expected that fame could change him this much.
