More Bad News
When Jack was four days old, a doctor came in with bad news. There were problems with his health that could possibly have difficult consequences in his adult life. Faris admitted that she couldn’t even hear the doctor properly. “I was in complete shock.”
To hear your newborn child may be facing a life of health difficulties would be difficult for any parent, but to hear these harsh news following a surprising, jarring and unexpected early birth is positively painful.
The Beginning of the End
A few things happened that would eventually put an end to Pratt and Faris’ marriage. His renewed faith was one of them. Another factor was Pratt’s success following Parks and Recreation.
With Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Jurassic World (2015), The Lego Movie (2014), Passengers (2016), The Magnificent Seven (2016), and the rest of the Marvel sequels, Pratt became a hollywood A-lister.
Faris, who was used to being the breadwinner told Marie Claire: “(My success) kind of destroyed my (first) marriage. The divide became too great.” She added, “The hardest thing in my industry is longevity, getting your next job. It’s hard to get the first job, but it’s so much harder to get the sixth or seventh as a woman.”
