Proposing
Chris Pratt may have known he wanted to marry Anna Faris from the day he met her, but the actual proposal came at the end of 2008. Pratt was ready from day one, but Anna was still dealing with her divorce, and he wanted to give her time to process and accept it before he made any jarring moves that might upset or confuse her.
An additional factor was the fact that they needed to be on equal footing. While Faris was a well established actress, Pratt was still working his way up.
Low-Key Bali Wedding
Pratt and Faris weren’t interested in a big, flashy wedding – they just wanted to be married. So instead of throwing a lavish ceremony, as many Hollywood couples do, they opted not to put on a big show.
Instead, they went as low key as possible.
When they attended a friend’s wedding in Bali, they decided to get it over with and tie the knot right then and there.
And while they may have stolen a bit of their friend’s thunder, they definitely weren’t flashy about it.
