Meant to Be
Love lives in its own universe. Nobody knows when or how love is going to hit.
During Shelton’s interview with Behind the Music: Miranda Lambert in 2011, he affirmed “Looking back on [the first performance together], I was falling in love with her, right there on stage.”
The two fell in love hard and fast once his separation was finalized.
Together they took on each other’s hearts, as well as country fans’, as they became the “it” couple. From collaborating and performing together on stage to hunting and staying in together at home, the two seemed completely meant to be.
But relationships are never that easy, especially when you’re a celebrity.
The High Times of the Relationship
One of the best parts about their relationship was that Shelton got to be a part of Lambert’s transition from a young woman to star.
From sharing her first experience of bowhunting to developing herself as a musician, Shelton truly cherished being with her. “To be able to experience those things with her, I loved that,” further explained Shelton on Behind the Music. And even more so, Shelton felt like he was developing as a person and musician too by being around her.
