“This is Not the Future We Envisioned”
After four years of marriage, and a full decade of being in each other’s lives, the couple decided to separate.
According to ET Online, the couple’s statement mentioned that “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
The two seemed to be so in love and smitten, yet their announcement seemed to be quite genuine. As sad as it is, we give them props for being so sincere about the whole concept.
With that said, they did ask for compassion and privacy when it came down to this personal aspect of their life. Only recently has the couple opened up about their feelings about how their marriage ended.
Lambert’s Feelings on the Separation
Schedules weren’t the only thing that caused Shelton and Lambert to end their perfect country love story.
Lambert shared with E! Online that it’s not just about what you need to overcome during your marriage, it’s basically about who you and your partner are.
“[Marriage is] a tough business, and we gave it our best college try. I met him at 21—I am now almost 32. You change as people. If I’m not a different person than I was at 21, then something’s wrong with me.”
Sometime you grow with a partner, and sometimes you don’t. Lambert’s insight with E! Online truly hit the nail on the head about why many couples might struggle with their marriage, not just hers.
