Rose (Melanie Lynskey): Now
Like Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, Melanie Lynskey was a well established actress long before Two and a Half Men started shooting.
She made her acting debut at the age of 17, alongside Kate Winslet, in Heavenly Creatures, directed by the legendary New Zealand director Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame.
Since then, she’s landed a variety of roles, including the role of Lurlynn in Sweet Home Alabama opposite Reese Witherspoon.
Following her success on the show, Lynskey started landing leading roles in films like The Intervention, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore and Sadie, as well as in shows like Togetherness, Sunshine and Castle Rock.
Chelsea Melini (Jennifer Taylor): Then
We first meet Chelsea Melini in season six, as one of Charlie’s girlfriends.
Still, Chelsea is more than just another pretty face; Charlie ends up falling for her, and she becomes the first woman whom Charlie confesses his love to unprompted.
Charlie and Chelsea end up engaged, and almost marry – but Chelsea breaks things off after she falls in love with Alan’s lawyer… and Charlie ends up sleeping with her best friend and college roomate, Gail.
