And it was good that Widetich put in the time to try and get to know Drools as well as possible, as he truly did have some very particular needs and requirements that any new owner would need to be aware of.

For example, even though he was lovely and friendly to humans, Drools was not comfortable at all around other animals. He also only understood a few basic commands and would need more training from his new owner.

And so Widetich continued to put together full instructions for Drools’ new owner—whoever they may turn out to be.

True Tribute

During Widetich’s time living in the animal center alongside her new best friend Drools, she posted a string of heartfelt messages and posts to her social media.

This wasn’t just to show her followers how much fun she was having in her new project, but also to try and raise awareness more widely that here was an adorable dog who needed a home.

“Drools is SUCH a lovebug and just need to find his perfect match,” she wrote on Instagram. “If you or someone you know is interested in this sweetheart, please reach out.”
