As well as giving Drools some much-needed comfort, and helping raise awareness across social media of his plight, Widetich had another reason for moving in with the beloved pup.

Part of Drools’ problem with finding a permanent owner was that he simply wasn’t used to humans, which meant he wasn’t always the friendliest when meeting with new people.

Widetich wanted to try and help Drools to become used to being around people, so that he could settle in more easily to his new home.

But Widetich had yet another reason behind her kind and selfless actions.

Learning Process

Widetich knew that Drools would be immediately cheered up by a bit of company and that her social media campaign would help him get noticed by any potential new families to take him home.

She also knew that spending time with him would help him acclimatize to being around humans, meaning that he would be an even better candidate for adoption.

But as well as that, she also wanted to get to know Drools herself—so she could get a true understanding of his specific needs, and make sure whoever came to adopt him would understand them as well.
