The Relay for Rescue group were as delighted as everyone else about this happy ending for the beloved pooch.
“After waiting almost 2 years to the day, we could not be more ecstatic to announce that sweet Drools has finally found his forever person,” they wrote on their Instagram page. “He is going to an amazing home about 4 hours away where he will live his best life as an only pet with a big yard to run and play in. We are so incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support throughout out Drools’ story.”
Welcome Gifts
And it wasn’t just the adorable pooch that Simpson walked home with that day. Everyone at the shelter was so enamored with Drools, that the new happy dog owner found himself truly bowled over with gifts and accessories—being sent home with piles upon piles of special tokens of love for their longest-serving resident.
As the two of them headed home to begin their life together, the trunk was packed with dog toys, comfy beds, and delicious treats.
It looked like Pooch was finally about to live the life he deserved!
