Careful Consideration
Even though Simpson knew for sure that Drools was the perfect dog for him, the people at the shelter were a little more cautious, wanting to make completely certain that he would be up to the task of looking after Drools’ very particular needs.
Though they appreciated his enthusiasm, they asked him to come back for a second meeting, so they could make completely sure he had the right bond with the lovable pooch.
Simpson agreed straightaway—he would do whatever it took to take this gorgeous pup home for himself.
Home Time
The people at the shelter were incredibly impressed with Simpson’s dedication to adopting Drools, and they now knew for sure what their decision would be.
And so finally, after a whopping 729 days at the shelter, Drools was finally on his way home.
Even though he had been in there for so long, Widetich had only moved in with him for 12 days—showing how much of a difference her stay had made.
Widetich, Simpson, the rest of the workers, and of course Drools himself, were all delighted by this new and exciting chapter.
