Over 6,000 Miles Away
As we mentioned, Jenny didn’t need to look too far to find Snafu a forever home. And while Jenny couldn’t be happier that Snafu was going to live with her sister and nieces, the small catch was the fact that she lived over 6,000 miles away!
That’s right, her sister lived across the world, all the way in the beautiful Rocky Mountain state of Colorado in the U.S.
And even though we’re sure it would be hard for the Desmonds to be so far from their precious little rescue pup, all that mattered was that Snafu had the perfect forever-home and a loving family to grow old with.
“She’s Gonna Have a Wonderful Life”
In December 2017, a little over a year after Jenny found Snafu as a little sick stray, they boarded a flight together to fly stateside.
“She’s moving to Colorado to live with my nieces, and she’s gonna have a great wonderful life … Look at her, she’s cute, happy, fat,” Jenny cheerfully shared with a huge grin on her face.
Interestingly enough, though, the climate and temperatures in Liberia are quite different than in Colorado—especially in the winter time. So would Snafu be happy in a place so different than what she’s used to?
