It was clear to everyone in the sporting world and beyond just how talented Rodriguez really was as soon as he first set foot on the field.
And so only two years after signing with the Seattle Mariners, he had made such a splash on the baseball scene that he then made his Major League debut shortly before turning 19.
Soon enough, Rodriguez had become known as one of the best all-around players in the game, knocking out home run records and MVP races.

In the mid and late nineties, Alex Rodriguez was fast becoming one of the biggest stars in the world of baseball.
Fans and coaches alike loved him, thanks to his incredible talent despite his young age.
But the truth was, Rodriguez’s charms extended well off the field, and he was also pretty good at romance.
And in 1996 he met psychologist Cynthia Scurtis at a gym, and the two hit it off pretty well. Before long, the two were dating, and seemed very much in love.
But their romance would not be a smooth or easy one—for more reasons than one.
