Mellencamp made her claim to fame after starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We’re sure that she has access to trainers and nutritionists but when it comes to health and fitness, she believes that you don’t have to be rich to stay in shape.
“Walking, running, or hiking is just as good a workout as a cardio class at a fancy gym and they’re free,” she told Women’s Health. When it comes to food, she has the same opinion, “The healthiest meals are often the simplest meals: A good carb, a healthy fat, some protein, and veggies are really all you need. You don’t need to be a chef, much less hire one!”

To get in shape for her role in Santa Clarita Diet Barrymore did yoga, dance, Barre, and strength workouts with her long-time trainer Marnie Alton.
“The girl works hard; I’ll give her that,” Alton told Women’s Health when speaking about the training session with the actress. “She blows my mind. She’s got the spirit and energy that you would imagine she would.”
