Family Ties
When Taylor Sheridan first started developing Yellowstone, he wanted to create a show that explores the essence of family and how the actions of one member can alter the course of generations. While working on this series, he found his second family in its cast and crew.
“In a TV series where you’re working together for years, you’re watching people’s kids grow up. It really does become family. And when you’re making a show about a family, with this family, it resonates… It’s moving stuff,” Sheridan told Deadline.
Bright Future
Yellowstone became such a colossal hit for the Paramount Network that they decided to profit off of its success by expanding its universe. The prequel to the show titled 1883 starring Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Sam Elliott premiered in 2021, and it’s about how the Duttons became the owners of the Yellowstone Ranch.
Paramount is currently plotting two more sequels of the popular series. 1923 will focus on a new generation of the Dutton family during the time of Prohibition and the Great Depression while 6666 is expected to take place in the present day.
