Focusing on Strengths & Weaknesses
Patrick has been trying all sorts of new sports and activities ever since she retired from racing, like skiing or snowboarding. The reason she pursues all of these activities, though, is to push herself to be better.
She recently posted some inspiring words on Instagram about focusing on both your strengths and weaknesses—her weakness being backbends. “I wanted to work on backbends because… it’s not an area I shine in and this was to work on hips and thighs to go deeper, and it worked,” she enthusiastically shared.
But focusing on herself isn’t the only thing she’s been up to in 2021.
“Running Wild with Bear Grylls”
Even if you’ve never seen Bear Grylls’s shows, you probably know him to be the ultimate man of the outdoors and all the scary stuff that comes along with being in nature. And guess who got to be a part of one of his shows in 2021?
“Basically, I did everything that scares me the most. Go figure … but right on the other side of fear is growth! Thank you for teaching me not only to go do that thing that scares you but do it RIGHT NOW!” Patrick wrote on Instagram about her experience on Running Wild with Bear Grylls.
But that’s not the only breakthrough she had during her experience on the show.
