A Historical Day
Danica found herself back on the Indy 500 track in May 2021, which turned out to be a historical moment both for her and for the race itself! Why exactly? Because that was first race in history where no spectators or fans were present due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
So while the pandemic had put a hold on many different sporting events around the world—or at least, when it came to spectating the sports—2021 became a historical year for many things just for that very reason alone.
“Yesterday was an above average day, and how many of those have we had in the last 14 months?!” Patrick shared on an Instagram post.
An Itch to Explore
Race-car driving isn’t the only form of transportation Danica Patrick has been focused on in 2021.
During the pandemic and lock-down, Patrick had gone through all sorts of important milestones in her life. She focused on her healthy lifestyle and marketing her products, went through a tough break-up, and, of course, was restricted during lock-down just like everyone else in the world.
So, it’s no surprise that the ambitious and inspiring role model had an itch to go out and explore. Did she manage to make that dream happen though?
