Leaving it All Behind
While Lynda had a burgeoning career in Los Angeles, her partner, Robert Altman, was located in the D.C. area. Both had demanding jobs, and they knew that one would have to sacrifice in order to be with the other.

“I was ready,” she told the New York Times. “I wanted some substance in my life.”
Settling Down

A daughter wasn’t long to follow, and although Lynda did appear in the occasional film or television show, it would be decades before she would return to a more career-oriented lifestyle.
