Taking Time Off Work
Being a mother to two young children is no walk in the park. To make sure she was there to do the best job possible, Kunis took a break from acting for a brief period. She was cautious that this would mean the end of her acting career and so she started her own production company.
“I ultimately started my production company, so I have a 9-to-5,” she explained. “I can’t not work. I don’t know what it’s like to not work; my family embedded that in me.”
Family First
Kunis had initially delayed having children because she had contracts to films. If it were up to Ashton, the couple would have had kids sooner. Once she had Wyatt, however, Mila understood that acting would make it difficult for her to be there for her family.
“As an actor, you travel so much. It isn’t great for a marriage,” she said via Elle. “In a marriage, you and your partner come first. And unless you and your partner are happy, that kid’s never going to be happy.”
