Baena has come a long way from the stress he once felt trying to impress his dad. “A lot of guys struggle with trying to make their dad proud or trying to get out of their dad’s shadow. But as long as you’re doing what you want to do, then that all comes. Of course, maybe those guys don’t have such nice dads,” he told Men’s Health.

With his father’s financial and parental support, Baena realized he could do just about anything he wanted. But there was still one thing he needed to do.

An Internship

After graduating from college, Baena realized that hard work would become necessary. The post-graduate struggles were a very real experience for Baena. “I needed a job. I needed to pay my rent and pay my bills…and I was not getting any of the acting roles that I thought I was going to get,” he told Unwaxed.

He began to intern at a real estate company, while still believing he would one day become a big movie star. It was a reliable internship and it provided him with an income, but he wasn’t expecting to actually enjoy it.
