Bündchen went through a tough breakup from Leonardo DiCaprio shortly before meeting Brady, but was lucky enough to have a supportive group of friends who desperately wanted to see her happy.
She was no stranger to blind dates and gave a couple of them a shot before Brady came along. Most of them were a total disaster, and she learned to lower her expectations.
So, for her first date with Brady, she decided to skip dinner and go for drinks so she could leave as soon as things got boring – but that moment never came.
Love at First Sight
The famous supermodel was so fed up with blind dates that she decided this would be her last one. She had zero expectations, but everything changed once Brady entered the room and it didn’t take him long to charm her.
“You know, when I saw those kind eyes, I literally fell in love, like, right away. I was like, ‘What?’ He was just so – you know how sweet he is,” Bündchen said in an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Too Good to Be True
After their first date went great, Brady and Bündchen continued dating. Everything was going so good between them that it seemed their relationship was almost too good to be true – probably because it was.
It didn’t take too long for gossip reporters to find out that the world’s highest-paid model and one of NFL’s most successful quarterback are in a relationship.
The news eventually reached Bridget Moynahan, Brady’s ex, who was keeping a secret of her own which threatened to put a strain on his new relationship.
