Although they were dealt a difficult hand in life, the Herrin twins look at their situation and life in general in a positive way. “The best thing about only having one leg…we only have to paint one set of toenails, so that’s really nice,” Kendra told BBC Three.
“The self-esteem that they have blows me away. Lots of people could learn a lot of things from them,” their mom said. And this outlook has driven them to dedicate their time and efforts towards advocacy and organizations.
