Meet Kendra and Maliyah Herrin
Kendra and Maliyah were born to Jake and Erin Herrin on February 26, 2002, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Herrin twins were born as Ischiopagus/Omphalopagus conjoined twins, connected at their abdomens, sharing a pelvis, a kidney, and a liver. Each girl controlled one leg.
Making it out of Utero and into the world, they had already survived longer than many conjoined twins. But their condition was rare and doctors had little faith in their survival.
