The Kidney Transplant
Having a new organ placed into your body comes with its own set of concerns and even though Maliyah goes in every month to get a check-up and necessary tests, she has had three scares with her new kidney. The main issue seems to be with her level of creatinine, or the waste product that indicates how well your kidneys are functioning. Two of her scares were related to dehydration while the other scare was with a dose of medicine that Maliyah ingested incorrectly.
Luckily, though, everything seems to be functioning correctly. And to this day, the twins are happy with their parent’s decision.
