The Herrin twins’ story was heart-wrenching and it caught the attention of many in Salt Lake City and other places, who either knew them personally or had been following their story.
“When we were in the hospital, we also got fan mail. We still have some of it,” Maliyah explained. In addition, close friends and family would visit the twins in the hospital and when they finally left the hospital, they had a huge group of people waiting for them at their home to throw them a party! For Maliyah, however, coming home didn’t mean her journey was over.
