As we know, Harrison’s original idea to get the pawn shop transferred onto a TV show was partly inspired by his desire to gain the place more publicity and therefore bring in more customers.
But even he couldn’t imagine just how popular the store would one day become—and how much they had to adapt it to meet the increased demand. In fact, so many more customers began frequenting the store, that they had to hire 30 new people and expand the area by 15,000 square feet!
