Running a Script
As with all reality TV shows, many viewers wonder just how much of Pawn Stars is really real and off the cuff material, and how much of it is actually planned out in advance and fully scripted.
Well the truth is, for this show they do script quite a lot of it—the potential seller is coached how to behave and negotiate, so they don’t seem too nervous or awkward. They don’t tell them exactly what to say, but use their expert skills to influence what they say. Fascinating!
