GoPro Time
The resourceful teen jumped into action and grabbed his GoPro camera. He dove into the water holding his small camera in its protective waterproof case, filming all the while.
Max swam out to where he remembered the car to have been, and sure enough, as he dove down deeper, it came into view. Even then, Max didn’t realize that his footage would be essential to cracking a cold case that everyone had given up on.
The Footage
Max’s footage showed a ghostly car resting on the bottom of Griffin Lake, among the rocks and weeds. It was covered with a thick layer of mud and fish swam past it. It was an eerie sight.
Upon seeing this invaluable piece of evidence, officers arranged for a dive team to return to the site in a few days to retrieve the car and figure out where it had come from.
