Jose’s Job
Just because Jose was homeless for 25 years, doesn’t mean he just lounged around all day. And while there are homeless folks who seem to stay in one corner all day, in hopes of people sparing them some change, Jose didn’t want to be like that.
He managed to find a way to make minimal ends meet in order to survive. “I started parking cars. I pay my expenses. I’m starting to save money for a room … [but] parking cars and living like this would not make anyone happy,” the 57-year-old revealed.
Everyone Needs Support
The thing about turning your life around is that no matter what, you don’t need to do it alone. Every single person deserves a support system and help when they need it, no matter how big or small your struggle is.
Jose was so grateful for the people who helped him jumpstart his engine and begin building a better life for himself. But what would happen at the salon during his big makeover would be something nobody could prepare him for.
